About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with 4.5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Core Java, Java Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber, with mandatory expertise in X-path.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java Selenium.
- Design and implement testing frameworks utilizing TestNG and Cucumber.
- Identify and document test scenarios and test cases based on requirements.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and identify testing needs.
- Debug and fix issues in the automated tests.
- Continuously improve the automation process to increase test coverage and reliability.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
Required Skills:
- Core Java: Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Java Selenium: Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium for web application testing.
- TestNG: Proficient in using TestNG for test execution and reporting.
- Cucumber: Experience in behavior-driven development (BDD) using Cucumber.
- X-path: Mandatory expertise in writing efficient X-path expressions for web elements.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
