Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop solutions, and ensure their successful deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for optimizing workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy automated solutions and frameworks for various operational processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define project scopes and requirements.
- Develop and implement software and scripts to automate manual processes and tasks.
- Integrate existing systems and tools with new automation solutions.
- Configure and maintain automation tools and platforms.
- Test and validate automated systems to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor automation systems and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Document automation processes, workflows, and configurations.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on automated solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies.
- Continuously improve existing automation frameworks and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of database management and SQL.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex automation issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications in automation technologies (e.g., Certified Automation Professional).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker).
- Understanding of agile methodologies and software development practices.
- Experience with test automation and test-driven development (TDD).
