Main function of job:
As Business Automation Engineer you will be responsible for automating simple and complex business processes, ranging from common and simple IT services to complex end-to-end case management that may include automation inputs and outputs from trusted suppliers and clients. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of automating business processes and be familiar with the most common scripting languages used for automation. Individuals with a multi-disciplinary background are highly desirable as this role involves working in a multi-disciplinary team. This role reports to the Business Automation Manager.

Responsible to: Business Automation Manager
Works with: Wider IT team, all internal and external stakeholders including third party suppliers. Main Duties: Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify opportunities for business process automation.
Design and develop automation scripts and workflows, using a variety of tools and technologies.
Test and deploy automation solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements and are integrated with existing business applications and systems.
Monitor and analyse the performance of automation solutions, and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for automation solutions, and provide training to end-users as necessary.
Provide technical expertise and support to business stakeholders and IT teams on automationrelated issues. Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and tools, and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Experience and Competencies:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in business process automation, with knowledge of automating simple and complex business processes
Familiarity with the most common scripting languages used for automation, such as PowerShell, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with frontend/UX technologies, like HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
Exposure to / experience with Machine learning, AI, CoPilot.
Experience in designing and developing automation scripts and workflows, using a variety of tools and technologies.
Knowledge of enterprise application integration and API management technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organisation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative solutions.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
A multi-disciplinary background is highly desirable.
