Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning and Design: Understand the requirements and specifications of the software. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing. Develop and maintain manual and automated test scripts and scenarios. 2. Test Execution: Perform manual testing on software applications to identify defects. Execute automated test scripts and validate test results. Validate that the software meets functional and non-functional requirements through both manual and automated tests. 3. Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts. Integrate automated tests with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in AWS. Optimize and refactor existing automation scripts for efficiency and maintainability. 4. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues. Perform regression testing to verify resolved defects, both manually and through automation. 5. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment. Provide feedback on usability, user experience, and other quality aspects. 6. Reporting: Prepare and present test reports summarizing testing activities, defects, and overall product quality. Provide insights and recommendations for improving product quality and testing processes. 7. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing. Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Mentor junior testers and share knowledge within the team.
