Automation API Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design and execute comprehensive test cases covering functionality, usability, performance, and security aspects.

Experienced in Interface Testing

Identify and report bugs and defects clearly and concisely.

Participate in test planning, review, and estimation sessions.

Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely fixes.

Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

Automation Testing:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with JSON or other relevant frameworks.

Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and Jenkins.

Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement in the automation framework.

Experienced in creating Reusable code using parameterization with no hardcoding

Experienced in DB Automation, Reporting views, etc.

Hands-on experience in API Automation (SOAP/REST API)

Experienced in R-Message Testing (eg. Recall, Return Scenario)

Combined Approach:

Determine the optimal mix of manual and automated testing for different components and functionalities.

Optimize test execution to maximize efficiency and coverage.

Analyze test results holistically to gain a comprehensive understanding of software quality.

Qualifications:

4-8 years of experience as a Test Engineer

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, grey-box).

Experience with manual test case design and execution.

Proficient in writing clear and concise bug reports.

Experience with automation testing frameworks like Selenium WebDriver.

Ability to code in scripting languages like Python or Java (a plus).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
