- Developing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Reviewing and analyzing specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Modifying and revising designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
- Collaborating with team members, including engineers and manufacturing personnel, to address design issues and to improve existing designs.
- Preparing documentation for design projects, ensuring all necessary files and records are maintained accurately.
- Staying updated on new CAD technologies and incorporating them into the workplace to enhance production and design processes.
Education and Certification Requirements
