Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Engineer with specialized experience in designing structural steel frameworks, room acoustics, and acoustic enclosures. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of engineering principles, acoustical engineering, and AutoCAD software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage complex design projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver precise and innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed drawings and specifications for structural steel components.- Perform load calculations and structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
Collaborate with civil and structural engineers to integrate steel structures into larger projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create 2D models of steel structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Room Acoustics:
- Design and optimize room acoustics for various environments, including commercial, residential, and industrial spaces.
Conduct acoustic measurements and simulations to evaluate sound distribution, absorption, and reflection.
- Integrate acoustic materials and design elements to enhance sound quality and minimize noise pollution.
Collaborate with architects and interior designers to incorporate acoustic considerations into overall room design.Acoustic Enclosures:
Design custom acoustic enclosures for machinery, equipment, and other noise-generating sources.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials to achieve desired noise reduction levels.
Create detailed AutoCAD drawings and specifications for enclosure fabrication and installation.- Ensure designs comply with relevant noise regulations and standards.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in AutoCAD design, with a focus on structural steel, room acoustics, and acoustic enclosures.- Proven track record of managing and executing complex design projects from concept to completion.
Technical Skills:- Proficient in AutoCAD, with advanced skills in 2D modelling.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, acoustic theory, and materials science.- Experience with acoustical simulation software (e.g., EASE, Odeon) is advantageous.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and building codes.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.- Ability to travel to project sites as needed. (Very Important)
