Job Summary: Our Client is seeking a qualified Asst. Manager / Sr. Chemist - SMS (Quality Control) to ensure the quality of steel produced in the SMS unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control tests.
- Monitor and analyze chemical and physical properties of steel samples.
- Identify and troubleshoot quality issues.
- Develop and maintain QC procedures.
- Train and supervise junior staff.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Stay updated with industry developments.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or related field.
- 5+ years in QC role in a steel plant.
- Knowledge of steelmaking processes and QC standards.
- Experience with testing methods (spectroscopy, chromatography, wet chemistry).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
