We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Manager/Manager of Production to oversee our production processes and ensure the delivery of exceptional products and services to our esteemed customers. Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute production plans based on customer demands, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, optimizing production volumes and minimizing waste.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing, engineering, and quality control, to ensure timely production output.
- Monitor production metrics, such as on-time delivery, cycle time, and productivity, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians, establishing a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Supervise, train, and mentor employees to enhance their skills and knowledge in line with company objectives.
- Develop and implement effective performance management systems, including setting goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing feedback to promote individual growth and development.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance department to implement and maintain strict quality control standards and procedures.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process, identifying and resolving any issues or deviations promptly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety guidelines, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas of process inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to streamline operations and eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new technologies, machinery, or tools to drive efficiency and enhance production capabilities.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to oversee inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary raw materials and components to support production schedules.
- Implement effective inventory control measures, such as ABC analysis, stock accuracy checks, and cycle counting, to minimize inventory discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
- Monitor and report on inventory trends, identifying potential risks or opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and safety regulations.
