### Mechanical Lead Job Description for Solar Projects
#### Job Summary:
The Mechanical Lead for Solar Projects is responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering and installation aspects of solar energy projects. This role involves managing the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Mechanical Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, civil engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure the successful completion of solar projects.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- **Project Planning and Design:**
- Lead the mechanical design efforts for solar projects, including layout and system design.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- **Technical Leadership:**
- Provide technical guidance and support to the mechanical engineering team.
- Review and approve mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems.
- **Installation and Commissioning:**
- Oversee the installation of mechanical components such as solar panels, mounting systems, tracking systems, and HVAC systems for control rooms.
- Ensure all mechanical installations are performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to ensure proper operation.
- **Project Management:**

#### Qualifications:

- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in the solar industry.
- Proven experience in leading mechanical design and installation for large-scale solar projects.
