Job Description

Job Summary

  • The role is based in Bangalore and reports to the Head of Ops Risk Product & Valuation Control.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Acting as a first line of defence. Primarily to address the queries raised by business on various Procedures & Policies related and help them to comply with Group Policies & Procedures.
  • To adhere Group ORF procedures, Perform control monitoring testing on an ongoing basis, the design and effectiveness of key controls using the CST, Key Control Self Assessment (KCSA) and Key Control Indicators (KCI) framework
  • Support and provide guidance to Responsible Persons (RPs) to ensure integrity, quality and completeness in the execution of KCI, CST & KCSA.
  • Coordinating between EUC finance team and PC-VC on the EUC registration process and publishing MI related to EUCs.
  • Provide support on the Migration governance and present Score Cards/MI to various forums like Operational Excellence Forum, CRC & FRC etc.
  • Prepare BIA documents, Call tress testing documentation and facilitate BCP testing on the Business resiliency support.
  • Proactively monitor OR events (internal or external) and escalate significant events to Direct Line Manager as appropriate.
  • Encourage the development of an appropriate risk culture and discipline in PC-VC.
  • Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, by performing periodic assessment and monitoring activities as well as timely identification, escalation and resolution of risk issues

Business

  • Operational Risk Team supports PC VC function on ORF roll out, Control monitoring testing ( CST, KCSA & KCI), updating results in EORP, Monitoring of Open Ops risk events for closure, EUC inventory & registration process, Migration governance (Ops Risk), Business Resiliency documentation & support during BCP event. Team is being engaged on interpretation & implementation of group policy/ procedures and regulatory requirement within PC VC.
  • Coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance by embedding an effective Enterprise Risk Management Framework) within PC-VC to ensure all areas manage operational risks in a proactive, risk based and disciplined manner.
  • Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, by performing periodic assessment and monitoring activities as well as timely identification, escalation and resolution of risk issues.
  • Ensure residual risks are maintained within the risk appetite for PC-VC
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Risk policies, procedures, and applicable external laws and regulations within PC-VC

Processes

  • Ensure adherence to SLA's, KPI's, Internal metrics & FMG wide policies.
  • Identify/ manage risk and control breakdowns.
  • Develop & Maintain effective and standard processes. Maintain KOP's/DI's.
  • Support change project initiatives and conduct User Acceptance Testing for enhancements to current systems or migration to new system.
  • Production of monthly packs and assist in implementation of sound controls and consistent processes around Monthly packs.
  • Client Analytics Understanding Client performance, relationship, and resource consumption.
  • Production and validation of CF scorecards for measuring business performance.
  • Bespoke analysis surrounding ledger and client balances and helping the business achieve its target

Governance

Qualifications

  • Masters / Bachelor in Finance or Risk Management
  • 8+ years of Operational Risk experience preferably in Finance area.
  • Strong control mindset
  • Positive attitude.
