Description
Our company is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Associate Vice President - Portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our portfolio of investments and driving the success of our funds.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in venture capital and private equity, as well as prior experience of managing and growing investment portfolios.
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing support and guidance to portfolio companies, including strategic advice, operational expertise, growth strategies and access to industry networks.
Develop and execute exit plans for our portfolio companies. Analyse market trends, assess potential buyers, and develop strategies to maximize value upon exit.
Collaborate with management teams to optimize business operations, identify growth opportunities, and implement operational improvements.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investors.
Collaborate with team members to develop investment strategies, identify potential risks, and scale-up options/opportunities.
Lead negotiations, deal structuring, and documentation for exit transactions.
Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that could impact portfolio companies.
Qualification and Skill Set:
Engineer plus MBA in Finance OR CA/CFA with MBA in Finance
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Venture Capital/Investment Banking / Operational role / Management Consulting with proven track record of managing and growing investment portfolios.
Demonstrated ability to identify and execute value creation strategies.
Strong understanding of technology and innovation trends.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company management teams and other stakeholders.
