Position: Associate Vice President - Broadcast Engineering
Purpose: This position will work in shifts to ensure seamless broadcast 24x7, for 365 days of the year.
Education: B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics
Experience: 10-15 years of Engineering experience in Broadcast Technology
Location: Mumbai
Reporting Relationship: Head - Broadcast Operations and Technology
Business/Channel/Function: Broadcast Operations and Network Engineering
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage embedded infrastructure engineers.
Plays a key role in defining initiatives and contributing to the strategic planning.
Adapt in a quickly changing environment and interact with a broad customer base with diverse needs and functional responsibilities.
Ensure product / project deliverables across the delivery teams are consistent, high quality and well documented
Directly oversee, mentor, and develop the technical staff and supervise the technical delivery of these developers
Provide leadership to direct-report and/or cross-functional teams
Challenge the status quo through intellectual curiosity and natural inquisitiveness to look beyond the obvious for continuous improvement.
Interface with both senior technology leaders as well as senior business leaders in order to accomplish business goals.
Participate in various tactical and strategic meetings with all levels of leadership to advise and collaborate on solutions to current and future challenges
Identifies opportunities to consolidate and/or optimize business processes through research and leveraging vendor relationships.
Ensures that all security requirements are met or exceeded.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Install, test, document, modify and repair hardware and software related to video and network devices.
Review nightly engineering reports and process requests for follow up support
Coordinate with, and assist Ballpark Operations team to troubleshoot MLB broadcast related hardware and software.
Provide support of video transmission systems, including routing, encoding and decoding, and other broadcast transmission related hardware
Monitor, analyze and rectify technical faults in a variety of broadcast systems
Testing and recommending equipment for future projects
Perform initial setup of broadcast systems, including software configurations
Create configuration and operational guides for hardware and software
Support and assist in integration of broadcast system updates at remote locations.
Perform preventative maintenance and updates of broadcast systems
Work directly with other departments or vendors to resolve technical issues
Provide regular status and system update reports to management.
