Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Associate/Sr. Associate - Inward to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inward logistics operations, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring smooth and efficient handling of inbound vehicles and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination and Tracking:
- Report to Central Logistics (functional) and Factory Manager (local).
- Coordinate with the procurement team and suppliers to track vehicle movement until arrival at the facility.
- Traffic Management:
- Work closely with the traffic supervisor to monitor and manage traffic situations within the plant premises to prevent delays and ensure safety.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain proper purchase documentation and ensure compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) for all inbound vehicles.
- Ensure accurate records of loaded and empty weights for all vehicles.
- Reporting and MIS:
- Maintain and share Management Information System (MIS) reports related to inward logistics operations regularly.
- Collaboration with Finance:
- Submit all required documents to the Finance department for processing and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in logistics with a focus on inward operations.
- Strong coordination skills with experience in working with procurement teams and suppliers.
- Good understanding of logistics operations, including vehicle tracking and traffic management.
- Proficiency in maintaining MIS reports and handling documentation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
