What will your essential responsibilities include
- Build, validate, test and deploy data science and ML models to address specific business problems with appropriate success criteria defined, tracked and reported
- Manage the end-end lifecycle of data science and AI models working in partnership with Data Science platform, Global Technology and other relevant teams
- Build Data Science, AI and ML capability to ensure appropriate reuse of relevant assets across the business and potentially with the wider Group
- Partner with key areas within Global Technology, Pricing Underwriting, Transformation Change Delivery, Group and other teams for Projects and for Business as Usual
- Instill a customer-first attitude on the team, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else
In this role, you will report to the Division Lead, Data Science Excellence.
We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :
- Proficiency in end-to-end model development, validation and model implementation for both GLM models and machine learning models. Modeling experience in commercial insurance is a plus.
- Significant programming experience in both SQL and Python. Experience with R, H2O, Spark, Microsoft Azure Ecosystem, Databricks is a plus.
- Text Analytics, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning experience is preferred.
- Data scientist with good business acumen and commercial awareness
- Ability to communicate well with leadership team, peers, teams across the globe
- Brings in a collaborative spirit, can-do attitude and a Customer First mindset
- Requires a combination of solid execution, strategic thinking and ability to connect the dots
- Expected to recommend innovation and improvement to policies, procedures, deploying resources and performing core activities
- A minimum of a bachelor or master s degree in a relevant discipline
- 3 years of experience in a Data Science, AI or related roles (Actuarial, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering), or strong candidates with MS. or Ph.D degree
- Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data driven organization
