As an Associate QA Engineer, you'll play a crucial part in delivering exceptional experiences to Truecaller users. you'll collaborate closely with development and product teams to design, implement, and maintain robust testing strategies. Your work will directly impact the quality of our high-performance systems, handling billions of Ad requests per day.
Wh at you bring in:
- Experience of 1-3 years as a Software Dev/Test Engineer preferably from Product based or startup organizations.
- Should be someone who has basic knowledge of coding and understanding of elementary Data Structures.
- Should be able to come up with a variety of Test Cases for any given scenario.
- Elementary understanding of the design of Distributed systems.
The impact you will create:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans
- Build and maintain automated test suites
- Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement
- Work with cutting-edge technologies like Golang, Scala, Kafka, Aerospike, Maestro, gRPC, Protobuff and more
- Owning end to end quality set of features and ensuring that all code that gets shipped to prod is tested for quality.
- Creating Test Plans and executing those with test results/matrix.
- Automating manual test cases and integrating with build pipelines to ensure sanity of each and every build.
- Identifying, Troubleshooting and logging bugs in the applications under test and doing exploratory testing of the entire product.
- Develop test strategies and Test cases and automations for Ads features.
- Actively participate and contribute to High Level Design discussions and ensure that Testablity is considered.
- Create and document test cases and product flow
- Identify test activities and test dependencies that span across the backend and frontend domain to ensure the end to end quality
- Coordinate/coach the developer s participation in the teams test activities
- Be the gatekeeper for all team deliverables agreed quality levels to ensure that acceptance criteria and definition of done are met before a task is closed
It would be great if you also have
- Understanding and hands-on experience in UI test automation on mobile platforms, both/either Android & iOS and REST API Automation.
- Familiarity with AdTech would be a huge bonus.
- Should be able to contribute to Product Specs and Documentations.
- Experience in tools like Postman, Charles Proxy.
- Experience with any scripting tools/languages like python or js is a plus
- Experience with Android testing frameworks such as Espresso and Appium
