Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
Team Management:
Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout all project phases.Budget Management:
Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and monitor expenses to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.Schedule Management: Develop project schedules, establish milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of project milestones and overall project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.Contract Administration:
Prepare and review contracts, negotiate terms and conditions, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, address client concerns, provide regular project updates, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Health and Safety:
Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites, implement safety protocols, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, change orders, and other project-related records, and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues, conflicts, and discrepancies in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in civil engineering or construction.
Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and techniques.- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing civil engineering and construction projects.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
