- A minimum of eightyears of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research/ industry positionequivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry, including a minimum of two PhD awarded under his/her supervision
- They should have a minimum of ten publications in the peer reviewed/UGC listed journals with a reasonable amount of citations of their published work
- Should have also carried out a couple of funded projects as PI/ Co-PI from government agencies or from industries
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Engage and deliver high-quality instructions in terms of teaching, labs, skilling and experiential learning to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their domain of expertise
- Maintain a high standard of delivery of instruction, develop course materials, deliver lectures, lead discussions, set, mark and assess examinations related workand assess student performance to provide guidance and feedback to students.
- Conductoriginal research, publish in reputable academic journals, present at conferences.
- Supervise graduate students and PhD Research Scholars for their PhD work and collaborate with colleagues on research projects.
- Associate Professors as they engage in active research, contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their discipline, are also expected to mentor younger faculty to create a team for sustainable research in their area of expertise in the university.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives, collaborate with industry partners, or provide professional expertise to relevant organizations including initiating efforts towards student internships/ projects, training for industrial personnel and collaborative research grants.
- Prepare and submit proposals and applications to external bodies, eg for funding and accreditation purposes
- Actively participate in school,centre,department and university service activities as also take up responsible position when assigned by the university.
