A Forescout Professional Services Engineer (PSE) provides technical and consultative services to their assigned accounts to drive the adoption and maturation of the customers Forescout deployments. The post sales engineer must be able to solve technical and process challenges to ensure customer success. The PSE must also understand the customer environment (people, process and technology) and how the Forescout deployment supports the customer goals and use cases. The PSE role is to ensure solution success, customer satisfaction and account renewal/expansion.
What You Will Do
- Provide off-site and potential on-site Forescout professional services to customers including configuration, health checks, optimization, troubleshooting and upgrade planning.
- Proactively identify and prioritize issues on behalf of the customer, communicate and explain issues to customer verbally or in writing, develop plans to address issues, get approval for plans, and drive plans to successful completion.
- Assist customer business units with their Forescout implementation plans and network designs.
- Coordinate and lead meetings and provide written summaries.
- Identify and recommend new customer service opportunities to Sales and/or customer.
- Stay abreast of product capabilities, configuration, and integrations via training/lab work.
- Create customer reports to achieve project alignment and unity of effort.
What You Will Bring To Forescout
- 3+ years of experience in an IT related field, ideally in a Professional Services role.
- Experience in network troubleshooting and configuration (tcpdump, Wireshark, etc..
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise network protocols (LDAP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, and authentication protocols)
- Network equipment configuration (Switch, Router, Firewall)
- Working knowledge of Linux O/S (Ubuntu and CentOS) including installation, security configuration, and management.
- Virtualization environments for both desktop and server deployments.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to take action efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding Expertise deploying large scale enterprise deployments/data centers.
- Experience deploying and/or supporting enterprise security software products such as firewalls, IPS, Anti-Virus solutions, application firewalls, high availability solutions, network management systems and virtual systems.
- Ability to constructively handle and address customer concerns through explanation or management escalation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Excellent communications skills, strong customer orientation, good organizational skills, self-driven with ability to multi-task on various projects and aptitude to learn new technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Forescout solutions a bonus.
- Technical support experience a plus.
