Job Responsibilities
- Partners with local procurement operations leadership to execute strategy at the regional/local level. Directly manages the entire local Procurement Operations for Godyear India Head office. Take accountability of procurement, financial and operational performance and its impact on financial and operational performance. Closely work with SAG Category Team for effective implementation of Strategies to drive savings projects
- Responsible for feedback and process improvement for all e-sourcing activities. Also accountable for compliance management.
Executes sourcing strategies made by the Procurement Operations Manager and ensuring consistency with Global SAG category strategies. Execute negotiation strategy for local negotiations in SAG and actively lead the local contract negotiations as required based on criticality or complexity. Manage Procurement in cordination with the Category lead and also the Procurement Operations Manager for India.
- Supports Commercial Council through appropriate communication channels (informing and requesting feedback). Execute change management within the procurement function and in the area of responsibility and drive improvements. Ensures appropriate and effective communication occurring at all organizational levels with consistent follow up and messaging. Acts as an escalation point for organizational or cultural change barriers and works to resolve and overcome barriers collaboratively with business partners
- Accountable for meeting aspirational training goals for 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process and Enhanced Sourcing Tools. Develops relationships with local and regional suppliers to support business needs and the overall Global Procurement supplier segmentation strategy. Develop new suppliers for SAG and drives localization to ensure the targeted savings.
- Serves as first point of contact for suppliers related to category of spend. Seek out new opportunities for application of 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process, Enhanced Sourcing Tools, Procurement related Focused Improvements Projects to drive savings opportunities. Supports team learning goals. Ensures Global systems are followed and complied.
