Position Summary
As an Associate Material Compliance Specialist, you will be an integral team member of a critical business function and a rapidly expanding discipline. This role will be responsible for supporting enterprise-wide programs to achieve and maintain material compliance to global regulations. This will require cross functional collaboration along with large bill of materials analysis, and risk assessment against a growing list of material compliance requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and compose correspondence, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc, for cross functional teams
- Process owner for electronic record management projects across multiple software platforms
- Process owner for Polaris Asbestos declarations, analyze available electronic data and identify high risk parts, determine exposure risk
- Own daily maintenance tasks to maintain Assent Compliance contract. This includes but not limited to customer feedback reports, data validation, review of supplier submissions, and keeping electronic records up to date.
- Act as teams SME for Polaris systems including AS400, PowerLink, BI launchpad, ACM Data base, Assent Compliance software, and group SharePoint page. As the SME assist in the training of new employees on these systems.
- Maintain supplier data in a searchable environment
- Analyze the data content, quality, and completeness to identify substances to be phased out, labeled, or reported externally
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to influence projects to drive regulatory requirements and ensure adequate compliance verification
- Assist with tracking of global product substance compliance requirements
- Perform special projects and other duties as needed
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum of 1 years of related work experience
Skills & Knowledge
- Working knowledge of material compliance regulations preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with global cross functional partners, suppliers, and team members
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills required
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel user and proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Office
