We are looking for an Associate Manager, Software Engineering for Oracle-NetSuite in Hyderabad location. You will be responsible for a team that architects, designs, develops and quality certifies Oracle NetSuite products and act as the main technical liaison between product owners and our scrum teams. This is a hands on management position. The candidate is expected to personally assess the design, quality and architecture of our existing software products, manage and track code quality, ensure code coverage via automated unit tests, also evaluates quality control methods and systems, monitor automation QA testing efforts and recommend any necessary redesigns required to keep our products competitive in the marketplace.
The candidate should ensure that a portion of his/her time is built into the schedule to contribute as a lead software designer, engineer and to mentor less experienced team members.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a domain area with diverse functional element and frequently interact with supervisors and functional peer group leads and managers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including strong communication skills, analytical skills and thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle (SDLC).

- Leading, mentoring engineering team and taking responsibility of sprint and release commitments, impediment resolution, escalations.
- Responsible for both Dev and QA team estimates, Planning, Work allocation, tracking and Priority Management in one or more projects
- Interact with product management and project management to develop software products which fulfill the requirement specifications generated by the product owner.
- Provide technical leadership to team for design, architecture, code reviews and incorporate engineering best practices into feature development, refactoring work, quality assurance and product maintenance.
- Works with engineering team and to resolve customer issues as per defined service level agreements
- Determine the staffing required for the scrum team to complete assigned tasks. Ensure all assigned personnel receive the training necessary to successfully complete the tasks which are assigned to them
- Assists engineers in estimating and planning initiatives
- Mentors and trains software engineers to increase overall team technical skillsets and stay current with technology trends
- Works with team and resolves customer issues as per defined service level agreements
- Act as key point of contact for all aspects of product engineering and coordinate with stakeholders
- Responsible for hiring of software engineers for agile engineering teams
- Provide growth opportunities and support the career development of your team members
Experience/Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with various software programming techniques and software development tools is a must.
- Strong knowledge and thorough understanding of SDLC, STLC process, CI/CD and Quality Assurance methodologies, terminology
- Must have strong hands on experience of design, coding skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, or similar
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Excellent database skills
- Adopt and establish best quality assurance practices for the team
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing Test Design, Test Strategy, Test cases and other testing related artifacts
- Experience working with APIs - SOAP/REST services and Backend testing frameworks
- Experience managing team sprint & release commitments, resolving impediments and leading interactions with stakeholders and peer scrum teams
- Experience working in agile / Scrum / Kanban environment

- Defect management and handling escalations
- Prior ERP background is an added advantage
- Prior people management experience is an added advantage
- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated

- Experience in NetSuite and SuiteScript will be an added advantage
