Responsibilities
- Strategic planning & budgeting Reporting & analyzing an overall budget more than 2000 Crores including freight, customs, transport, and warehouses. Build strategies for optimization and deliver a successful roadmap for improvement.
- Supporting a large, diverse team He or she also may be responsible for recruiting and hiring new workers and scaling the function in line with business needs. This role will support future organizational needs, capability building and training programs.
- Scouting for (in)efficiencies A key action is to always be on the lookout for ways to improve the transportation & freight processes for both buying & operations. This includes inventory optimization, store coordination, reducing turn times and overall focus on the lowest possible lead time.
- Maintaining Relationships Work closely with various people both inside and outside of the company. Constantly seek feedback from customers to ensure their satisfaction. Work closely with business leaders to drive a forward-looking growth agenda.
- Working capital & inventory game play Optimize inventory & run scenarios to meet the demands of buyers but not have too much sit at storage and ports. Constantly evaluate, deploy technology to strike a balance.
- Automate when and where possible create an end-to-end process flow overlapped by a platform model that enables the team to deliver successful results. Support the LMS from PO to SO with a live monitoring system that delivers a world class logistics & supply chain platform backed by AI, ML and substitutable by blockchain.
Qualifications
Master's degree in supply chain management, transportation, economics, business administration, project management, or a similar field
Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in logistics, projects & supply chain management
