Primary Purpose
This role will be reporting to Tax and Treasury lead for India. The person will be responsible to monitor and execute tax planning initiatives in India. The role will work closely with Global tax team as well as other cross fucntion and cross regional stakeholder to deliver these initiatives. Project will include initiatives contributing +$30m revenue in India in 2025. Activities will include export order planning and fulfillment, interface with copackers in Asia for import order processing, working closely with import - export team, ensuring compliance to banking and local trade regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination with teams in US and Switzerland for export order planning and fulfillment, working closely with overseas co-manufacturers and simply asia team on import orders planning. Execute related activities in SAP as well - PO approvals, issuing invoices and preparing MIS to keep a track on activity.
Prepare and maintain complete and accurate documents related to import and export of goods - This will include bills of lading, certificate of origin, commercial invoices, packing list etc. Ensure that all documents including invoices are in compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
This transaction will include inflow and outflow of foreign exchange through India. This will need constanct interaction with banks and ensuring that all documentation are in compliance with Merchant Trade Regulations. The person will be reponsible to maintain complete and accurate documents so that we are compliant and funds inflow and outflow is seamless.
The person will also work closely with consultants - PWC for indirect tax related issues and EnY for transfer pricing related issues. Role will entail ensuring that we are compliant on other taxes and will also facilitate audits / queries from regulatory authority on this matter.
The person will work closely with Controls team to ensure timely and accurate month end closing pertaining to these transactions as well as submission of Balance sheet schedules on Blackline as part of controls compliance.
Education & Expereince
CA with 3 to 5 years experience in tax and treasury. Strong understanding of Tax and Treasury related activities.
Experience Of Working On SAP Is Essential.
Good Inter-personal skills including People Management Skills
