Associate Manager – Business Development, Cargo

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve company goals and expand market share in the Cargo and Airport industry.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the air cargo industry.
  • Initiate negotiations and collaborate with key stakeholders to secure high-value contracts and partnerships
  • Update and provide monthly MIS for tonnage and revenue to Management.
  • Identify cause of deviation (if any), w.r.t last month / year / budget.
  • Conduct meetings with Airlines, Freight forwarders and other stakeholders to identify influencing factors.
  • Identify new revenue streams, business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the cargo industry.
  • Assist in developing the Business plan and P&L of cargo business with proposed plan and get the necessary approval from respective stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Assist in preparing presentations and survey outputs.
  • Analyze the new requirements raised by respective stakeholders in various meetings.
  • Track the requirement and update management periodically on the developments
  • Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt business strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and recommend competitive pricing strategy
  • Represent NMIA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and forge new partnerships.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management
  • Master's degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development initiatives
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cargo business development (airport, airline, freight forwarding)
  • Knowledge and understanding of international and domestic cargo transportation requirements including special commodities.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Successful history of negotiating and closing high-value contracts
  • Experience in market research, analysis, and identifying new business opportunities
