Role:
We are looking for a Nagios Administrator with hands on experience in solution - design, deployment, configuration and management.
Proficient with Nagios Core, Nagios XI and SolarWinds implementation, configuration and migration.
Deploy and configure SolarWinds and Nagios software, modules, and agents to monitor the network, servers, applications, and other IT infrastructure components.
Proficiency in administering SolarWinds and Nagios products and modules, such as Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Server & Application Monitor (SAM), Database Performance Analyzer (DPA), and others.
Experience configuring monitors using SNMP, SSH, WinRM, WMI.
Good knowledge on integration of SolarWinds and Nagios with third-party Ticketing tools for event forwarding and auto- ticketing.
Knowledge and familiarity with Oracle, MS SQL database internal and architecture or experience with supporting database administration.
Good understanding and working knowledge of Linux, Windows.
Set up monitoring policies and thresholds, monitor network and system performance, and configure alerts and notifications to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Investigate and troubleshoot any issues or incidents related to SolarWinds and Nagios infrastructure and resolve them promptly.
Implement security best practices, including access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption, to protect the SolarWinds and Nagios infrastructure.
Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and IT infrastructure components, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Strong ability to create custom plugins and policies in Nagios and SolarWinds for Custom monitoring requirements.
Fair Scripting knowledge in Bash/Shell/Python/Powershell/SQL.
Strong ability to create custom and complex reports/dashboards using SQL queries/logics.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customer.
Very good understanding of ITIL process framework, ITIL Foundation certificate preferred.
Qualifications:
Graduate in B.Tech/ M.Tech.
