Looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of core experience in Accounting and Controllership function who will be assisting within overall accounting and finance functions under Asia Jurisdictions. This exciting, we'll-rounded role offers great opportunity for development covering several jurisdictions as a key contact between various Apollo teams including fund and corporate controllers; tax; legal and compliance
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR:
Maintenance of daily books of accounts including posting of various journal entries in the system, either internally or with 3rd party administrator.
Review of administrator & investment monthly accounting reports, capital call/distribution workings
Month-end, quarter-end and annual accounting books and records including cash reconciliation, expense accruals, costs allocations, revenue calculations, corporation income tax accruals under US/SG GAAP, various reconciliations substantiating significant balances, income statement trends analysis, etc
Year-end financial statements and timely completion of related audits.
Quarterly, half-yearly and annually Singapore Regulatory reporting with ongoing responsibility to ensure the regulated entities are adequately capitalized at all times.
Assist in setting up new entity in various jurisdiction and pre-operation work.
Completing corporate requests, investor questionnaires, regulatory request
Assist/coordinate for bank account opening and maintenance of bank accounts.
Assist in valuation memo review, quarter-end pricing, prepare summary on valuation of projects.
Assist in audit on portfolio companies and review of audited financial statements of portfolio companies.
Assist in preparation of funding requests/documents and repatriation documents across various jurisdictions in Asia; obtain internal approvals.
Liaising frequently with corporate / fund controllers, tax, compliance, legal teams in Asia, London, and NY to ensure various matters are addressed proactively, timely and accurately
Working closely with the other team members on initiatives and ensuring team best practice.
Woking with Apollo colleagues across jurisdictions
Completing ad hoc and special requests as directed.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of PQE with core experience in accounting/controller role.
CA, CPA or equivalent and IFRS & U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise preferred.
Proactive / can do attitude, ability to assume responsibility on tasks and run with them to conclusion are a key success factors.
Hands-on and strong attention to detail is a must.
Energy, sees the big picture and thinks forward; demonstrates ability in taking initiative.
Analytical - the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information.
Good oral and written communications adapted to various audiences.

Preference for prior experience on Investran/ VPM.
