Today Akanksha runs 26 schools in partnership with governments of Mumbai, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Navi Mumbai and Nagpur serving 13,000 children in grades Jr Kg Gr 10.

Job Title: Associate - Finance

Location: Pune

Team / Function: Finance

Compensation: Approx. Rs. 37,000 - 41,000 per month in gross salary

Reports to: Manager - Finance

Responsibilities:

Manage vendor payments, staff reimbursements and donation data on a regular basis

Ensure that supporting documentation for all payments is in order and the same is maintained in an orderly manner for future audits and review

Maintain accurate Fixed Asset Register as and when the transactions occurred.

Support in compiling data/ documentation for internal, statutory and donor audits.

Assist in ensuring timely compliance of TDS, PT, PF, ESIC, GST, etc.

Ensure bank reconciliations are carried out on a monthly basis.

Visiting the banks as and when required.

Reviewing monthly Trial balances.

Support in the finalization of accounts.

Form16A downloading & ensue distribution to respective departments.

Work with the team to ensure efficient functioning of the Finance department.

Desired Profile of the candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting

Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience in finance & accounting. Experience in a non-profit organization will be preferred.

Knowledge of Income tax, PF, PT and other compliances related to non-government organizations

Familiarity with accounting software like NetSuite and good knowledge of excel and MS office software

Good communication skills and self-motivation and ability to work well with a team are a must
