The Associate Director for Record to Report will manage a significant portion for global record to report (R2R) processes. They are a key member of the Finance Operations Management team.
The primary purpose is to drive execution and ensure timely delivery of daily Record to Report operations.
In this role, he/she would lead the team to proactively build and maintain strong business relationships with key finance and business stakeholders in order to meet organizational goals and expectations in and around processes and operations.
Qualification & Competencies: -
15+ years of experience required.
A Qualified Accountant (CA / CPA / CMA / CFA / ACCA)
Accomplished finance operations professional
Comprehensive command of high-quality service delivery and governance in a top-tier company.
Acts with a high degree of ethics and integrity
Analytical and Strategic mindset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities: -
Responsible for driving Operational Excellence and service process optimization and standardization across the region, ensuring timely, accurate and high-quality service delivery of R2R across all regions in NIQ landscape, including month end closing, journal entry creation and processing, and balance sheet reconciliation preparation.
Contribute to providing Corporate Accounting Services such as Consolidation, Fixed Assets, Banking and Cash and take lead to find opportunities to identity process gaps to bring about standardization.
He/she would be responsible in managing R2R domain and quality levels through service level agreements, performance metrics and continuous governance rhythm.
To Identify and execute global internal control systems to ensure effective and efficient operations and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Drive full compliance with the NIQ Internal Controls framework, including SOX Compliance, as well as close liaison with our Corporate Audit Services (CAS) team.
To develop and implement procedures and operational ways of work in a standardized, efficient, and effective manner for all markets in the region in the realm of the R2R and general financial accounting stream.
To maintain thorough and current understanding of US GAAP. Keep abreast of emerging accounting and reporting standards.
Support the implementation of new accounting pronouncements as required. Prior experience of Statutory Finance Statement Preparation and local Indirect/Direct Tax knowledge a plus.
Communicate and collaborate routinely with finance counterparts, providing direction related to key processes and related changes, the sharing of best practices and keeping them abreast of initiatives that have a global impact.
Maintain an appropriate system configuration and IT environment to ensure effective and efficient execution of R2R and general financial accounting continuous finance processes, through the leverage of cutting-edge automation such as Blackline.
Provide leadership to ensure R2R processes are aligned to maximize consolidation opportunities, achieve the right level of simplification, standardization and improvement benchmarked against industry methodologies.
Analyze current processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and scale the R2R platform, and adopt new technology platforms (e.g., RPA) to streamline and automate work
Lead all aspects of day-to-day R2R operations, driving cost-effectiveness, innovation and continuous improvement, and always pushing or efficiencies in the end-to-end process.
Set and enforce milestones and timeframes to achieve objectives and operational requirements.
Successfully manage SLAs with a focus on driving transformation, anticipating hurdles, and implementing plans to overcome them.
Deliver on promises to stakeholders, personally committing to resolving issues Drives the enterprise to adopt and embrace change
Take accountability for the management and development of all R2R team members through coaching and mentoring.
Provide strategic leadership, and talent development and management activities for direct reports and their organizations to include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, and training.
Take accountability for ensuring that team's activities and reports are compliant and adhere to NIQ's policies.
