Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Casualty team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office

Job Title: Associate Director - Casualty Advisory

  • Serve as a strategic partner to US&C Casualty Advisory team, providing support & guidance in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Play a pivotal role in aligning IKS Casualty Advisory delivery support with long-term strategic objectives of the US&C Casualty Advisory team
  • Leading and mentoring IKS Casualty Advisory teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Develop and Implement strategies / frameworks to drive practice growth, ensuring enhanced stakeholder experience
  • Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders, to ensure trust and long-term success of Casualty Advisory practice
  • Facilitate effective communication across departments and teams, ensuring alignment and coordination of efforts
  • Provide analytical support to stakeholders for smooth decision-making, through actionable insights and recommendations

We will count on you to:

  • Build knowledge and understanding of the Casualty Advisory business, its offerings, and strategic priorities
  • Assist in the development and execution of growth strategies for Casualty Advisory practice and its sub-practices
  • Lead a team of analysts and managers to perform in-depth data analysis, identifying trends, emerging risks, and cost drivers within US casualty claims
  • Leverage your advanced knowledge of industry trends around claims, insurance and risk management to develop actionable insights into a client's claims and risk management environment
  • Spearhead critical projects pertaining to efficiency improvements in Casualty Advisory team
  • Establish a framework for consistent reporting, leveraging KPIs and metrics to assess claims performance, loss trends, and operational efficiency
  • Analyze claim outcomes and support the development of initiatives to enhance claim resolution processes, reduce litigation, and improve settlement efficiency

What you need to have:

  • Strong Insurance domain knowledge with hands-on experience in managing claims related projects and strategic initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of US casualty claims, including legal and regulatory frameworks, claims resolution strategies, and risk management practices
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to create long-term strategies and solutions that align with organizational goals
  • Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Analytical Expertise: Advanced skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis with an ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally with various departments and stakeholders
  • Change Management: Expertise in managing large-scale change initiatives within claims operations and analytics
  • 10-12 years of experience in claims, insurance analytics, and casualty claims, with at least 5-6 years in a leadership or strategic role
  • Must be comfortable with working on new age data management tools
