The IT Services and Automation team, within the IT Organization, is responsible for providing advice on technology and delivering development, configuration, maintenance and support of the various applications around IT Services. The team's primary responsibility is for the ServiceNow application which is used for IT Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change and Catalog requests was well as Contract and Hardware Asset management). The
Servicenow ITSM/ HRSD - Developer will join an existing team as SME and will contribute to consolidating and transforming Servicenow application.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Servicenow ITSM/ HRSD - Developer will be responsible for development of overall architectural designs, technical strategies and roadmaps for ServiceNow implementations.
- Meet with internal Product Owners to review stories and perform requirements gathering, design business process workflows, and process improvements.
- Provide expertise for ServiceNow, recommending and designing solutions to be implemented on the ServiceNow platform, including instantiation of new modules as well as helping improve and streamline existing capabilities and applications
- Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation.
- Transform business/functional requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks for himself & developers
- Responsible for coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting changes in the application.
- Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, QA, and production environments. Demos and prototypes as necessary in dev est env- prior to full deployment within the ServiceNow environment.
- Analyze ServiceNow and ServiceNow data for potential issues and provide support for resolution of issues. Recommend corrections to enhance system and application performance.
- Provide high-level estimations and guidance for work breakdown and related efforts.
- Support the design, development and configuration of a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Incident, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Change, Problem, Hardware and Contract management, Reporting, and SLAs
- Design and build integrations between ServiceNow and other Business Systems
- Lead ServiceNow Product Release upgrades efforts along with the team. Interact with ServiceNow's HI Customer Support for support and troubleshooting Product or Upgrade issues.
- Install, manage and administer ServiceNow add-ons, plugins, and modules.
- Contribute in ongoing production support.
- Create process documentation and coach/mentor ServiceNow training to internal teams.
Candidate Profile/requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred
- Experience working with HRSD
- Good knowledge and familiarity with HR processes. Additional knowledge of ITSM is desirable.
- Experience in successfully implementing the ServiceNow HRSD platform and leveraging the HRSD framework. Should possess 4+ years of ServiceNow design, development, implementation and Administrative experience
- 6+ years overall experience with minimum of 3+ years experience of SNOW development and configuration preferably within the HR Scoped application, with a SNOW partner
- 5+ years experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM tool.
- Experience should include scripting, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment; specifically, candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications
- Working knowledge of programming languages like: JavaScript, PHP, C, Java, Perl, HTML or HTML 5 is a must.
- Experience working with mid-servers and Power shell scripting
- Experience working with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript (including AngularJS), XML, JSON, web Services (Rest, SOAP) Architecture
- Good Understanding of Change Management and SDLC lifecycle
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem solving and process implementation skills.
- Skilled communicator within a worldwide team of Product owners, developers and managers.
- Excellent analytical, written and presentation skills.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with multi-tasking.
