proprietary data to provide solutions to our clients.
Your ultimate responsibility is to plan, setup and implement market research projects that integrate our big data capabilities and methods to enable data-led decisions on market growth. This includes setting work plans, assessing progress towards project objectives, and producing high quality data and presentations. Supported by our seniors, delivering nimble project solutions under short timelines is a key expectation from the successful candidate.
Career progression could include more senior roles in research, client delivery, people management or as an expert individual contributor.
THE TEAM
Catalyst is our largest analytical unit focused on the modernisation of our methods and processes by leveraging technology, automation, and visualisation. The team is also responsible for developing and executing our custom productised solutions that allow us to answer our clients critical business questions faster. Our research is varied in terms of geographic footprint. Typically, work will either be multi-country or global. Additionally, there is also a great deal of variety in terms of sectors. While the Data Associate Consultant will often be working with the big global FMCG players in industries such as Food & Beverages, Consumer Finance, Home & Garden and Packaging, other key clients come from areas such as government organizations and trade associations. As such, work can be business-to-business or consumer focused.
Responsibilities
Research Management: oversee the execution and be responsible for the delivery of consulting projects that leverage productised data frameworks:
- Deliver custom work built on Euromonitor's proprietary data and using our full range of capabilities in data analytics, data engineering, technology, visualisation, and data science.
- Project setup, including the development of briefs, templates, and other supporting materials necessary for meeting all project objectives.
- Translate the research findings into storytelling and data visualization that leads to strong final client deliverables.
- Maintain proper documentation of every project and ensure best practices are met.
Client engagement and collaboration:
- Create and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Manage client engagement from the data and method perspective, ensuring a thriving customer experience.
- Support commercial teams with solution design and feasibility assessments.
- Deliver results that are in line with client expectations and connected to their individual needs.
- Partner with client facing teams to speak to our data analytics tools and methods, and instil confidence in our solutions.
- Build strong relationships with our sales, research, analytics, and technology teams to develop optimal research outputs that lead to high client satisfaction.
- Leverage close collaboration with our Sales and Business Development teams to ensure our methodologies and solutions are fully understood and top-of-mind.
Data Management: work hand in hand with our data experts on data management and quality control:
- Leverage data skills and analytical judgement to design project flows, guide execution and analyse final data outputs.
- Work together with our analytics, technology, and research teams (responsible for the data extraction, modelling, and analysis) in the creation of strong deliverables.
- Big data analysis including interpreting data trends, data visualisation design and creating client reports that distil clear and actionable insights and recommendations.
- Have proficient knowledge of complex research methodologies and techniques (web scraping, data manipulation, visualisation, survey, multi-country trackers, etc.) and be able to balance their strengths and weaknesses to meet data objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Two+ years of market research/project management experience
- Experience with client and project management
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- A demonstrated record of analytical skills and command on MS Excel
- Ability to work under short timelines
- Strong organizational ability
- Self-learning capability, able to keep up with sharp learning curves
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- English fluency is a must
- Open and honest in their interactions with others
- Excellent computer literacy
