Overview: A Associate Cloud Systems Engineer at Litera is responsible for implementing and supporting systems infrastructure for critical reliability and maximum uptime. This includes partnering with Product, Engineering, and Information Security teams to support our global business and customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to end users on various services and tools as they relate to their day-to-day work.
- Analyze end to end design of our systems, tools, and processes; identify gaps in existing requirements and design
- Develop requirements and system designs for complex systems involving many services, teams, and stakeholders
- Find ways to improve the experience for end-users
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and Solutions Engineering teams to help shape our solution and strategy
- Collaborate with IT Security to define policies and required analysis
- Help in shape Information Technology to meet the needs of the business.
Role progression:
Within 1 month, you will:
- Complete new hire onboarding process including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, peer shadowing, and more.
- Learn Litera's platform by collaborating with teammates, attending training sessions, and participating in in-product guided experiences
- Meet the team and learn the nuts and bolts of our business and our path to success
- Become familiar with best practices, processes, and business tools including public cloud providers utilized by Litera
- Understand influencing metrics and how to influence time to value, end-user experience, adoption, and growth Within 3 months, you will:
- Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based systems, including but not limited to deploying cloud resources, backup, recovery, and resolving complex technical problems.
- Maintain ISP, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Manage and administer multiple Office365, Azure and AWS environments
- Identify and integrate existing tools and security solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to implement well-architected cloud solutions, that are cost effective.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Improve our cloud environment by integrating innovative technology, optimizing the current environment, and enhancing security.
- Provide support to end users on utilizing Azure/AWS services, security model, and tools as they relate to their day-to-day work.
- Obtain business-owner sign off on well documented test procedures, quality standards, implementation plan, disaster recovery plan, and go-live schedule.
- Provide guidance on best practices to all stakeholders regarding Azure/AWS deployment and management services.
- Create and manage end-to-end security of data flowing to and from Azure/AWS
- Identify operational cost control mechanisms on Azure/AWS
- Maximize automation and reduce manual involvement, monitors, and analyzes systems performance and takes corrective actions, documents processes and create SOP's
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience architecting, implementing, and supporting Windows Server, VMWare, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and AWS.
- Intermediate knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
- Comfort tailoring existing tools to meet the problem at hand
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders from all backgrounds
- Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage trade offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching system architecture.
- Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor infrastructure
- Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science or related field
