Job Purpose

  • Team Lead - Affluent is responsible for leading the Affluent Relationship Manager team to achieve exceptional growth in New to Bank (NTB) DBS Treasures clients. This role involves strategizing and overseeing the execution of sales and relationship management activities, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and meeting the bank's financial targets through effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Affluent Relationship Managers to effectively implement a needs-based strategy for attracting and engaging NTB Treasures clients
  • Work with the marketing team to enable events and client engagements to assist lead generation for NTB acquisition
  • Monitor and drive team performance to achieve targets in new client acquisition, revenue growth, and product cross-sell, specifically in Insurance, Foreign Exchange, and Investments
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and compliance with regulatory and internal policies across the team
  • Foster a culture of digital innovation within the team to enhance efficiency and customer experience
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and seamless client service

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisition strategies for NTB clients, ensuring alignment with the bank's growth objectives and service standards
  • Review and analyse team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to achieve financial targets for Treasures Segment
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance, AML, and KYC guidelines within the team, conducting regular reviews and training
  • Promote the use of digital banking tools and platforms among team members and clients to enhance accessibility and service delivery

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 3 year of experience in in managing teams within Premium Banking or Wealth Management
  • Proven track record of leading successful teams in achieving sales targets and expanding client relationships
  • Extensive knowledge of wealth management products and the financial services industry in India
  • Sound understanding of financial planning and wealth management products in India
  • In-depth knowledge of local market and competition
  • AMFI / IRDAI / FEDAI certified candidates with BCSBI certification would be an added advantage

Education / Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate with MBA

  • Direct leadership of the Affluent Relationship Manager team
  • Collaborate closely with other Team Leads, Product Specialists, and Senior Management to align strategies and optimize client solutions
  • Closely collaborate Leaders in Branch Banking and SME Business to explore opportunities for referrals

  • AML (Anti Money Laundering) and KYC Guidelines
