Department of Policy & Management Studies invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor -Economics

Area/Position Descriptions:Microeconomics and Mathematics

Number of Post:1 (One) Regular

Eligibility Criteria:

i. A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in therelevant/allied subject.

ii. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission

Desirable Qualification:

Ph.D. in Economics with a first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record. Candidates who had submitted the PhD thesis can also apply.

Teaching experiences at the UG and PG programmes is desirable. This is excluding the experience gained while pursuing the Ph.D.

Candidates with proven track records of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals would be preferred.

Pay Scale

Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale with admissible allowances.

Candidates with a PhD with specialization in Lidar and Radar remote sensing, Drone data applications, AI/ML and big data analysis for forestry, ecology.

Number of Post:1 (One) Regular

Eligibility Criteria:

Desirable Qualification:

Post-doctoral experience is desirable. Candidates with research in Lidar and Radar remote sensing, Drone data applications, AI/ML would be preferred. Demonstrate ability to attract national and international research funding and develop international collaborations. The candidate should be able to design and teach courses into Lidar and Radar remote sensing, Drone data applications, AI/ML.
