Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role of Assistant Professor in the Interior Design Department. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Interior Design. The Assistant Professor will also participate on departmental and university committees, participate in scholarly research activities, and advise and mentor students.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Interior Design.
• Experience teaching Interior Design courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a collegial, supportive, and inclusive work environment
• Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research and contribute to the development of the Interior Design discipline through scholarship and creative activity
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
• Professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture is a plus
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
