Roles and Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops on various legal subjects as per the curriculum and syllabus defined by the institution and BCI.
Designing course content, lesson plans, and teaching materials that align with the prescribed legal education standards.
Engaging students in interactive and participatory learning experiences, fostering critical thinking and legal reasoning skills.
Providing guidance and mentorship to students regarding their academic progress, career options, and research pursuits.
Curriculum Development:
Participating in the development and revision of curriculum and syllabus for law courses, ensuring alignment with BCI guidelines and industry demands.
Introducing new legal subjects, interdisciplinary approaches, and practical aspects of law to enhance the curriculum's relevance and comprehensiveness.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Participating in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and institutional decision-making processes.
Assisting in the accreditation and assessment processes, ensuring compliance with BCI standards.
Contributing to academic governance, including faculty recruitment, curriculum design, and policy formulation.
Qualifications:
A postgraduate degree (LL.M. or Above) in Law from a recognized university.
Enrollment as an advocate with a recognized State Bar Council.
Adequate Teaching experience in reputed law schools or institutions.
Strong understanding of BCI guidelines and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of legal education.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for mentoring and guiding students.
Proficiency in incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, ethical conduct, and the growth of the legal profession.
