Assistant Merchandiser

Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the retail industry in India and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Merchandiser will be responsible for assisting the Merchandiser in all aspects of the merchandising process, including product development, sourcing, production, and sales analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Merchandiser in developing and executing merchandise plans that support the overall business strategy
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and materials
• Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment
• Analyze sales data and make recommendations for pricing and promotional strategies
• Assist in the development of product specifications and packaging
• Assist in the creation of visual merchandising displays
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of merchandising initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in merchandising, business, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the Indian job market
• Strong understanding of the retail industry in India
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes
• Experience with product development and sourcing
