The Jobholder is responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating all warehouse-related activities to ensure the smooth flow of material movement. This includes having sound knowledge in warehousing and inventory control of raw materials, factory supplies, and spare parts. The jobholder ensures the maximum utilization of warehouse facilities and coordinates with the purchasing, manufacturing, and traffic departments to ensure proper receiving, transfer, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods. Additionally, the role requires sound knowledge in SAP and IATF standards
Key Accountabilities
Warehouse Utilization and Coordination
Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and implement efficient strategies to optimize material flow and storage. Coordinate with Material Planning, Production, and Customer Support teams to ensure timely receiving, transfer, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods. Safeguard items to maintain quality and prevent product damage, pilferage, accidents, and occupational hazards.
Inventory Management
Monitor the flow of goods and sustain the First-In First-Out (FIFO) method for raw materials and finished goods dispatch. Utilize SAP knowledge, including Barcode, RFID Guns, and Scanners, for inventory management. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper control of raw materials, factory supplies, and spare parts. Conduct regular cycle counts as per established schedules and guidelines. Evaluate and analyze inventory variances and implement preventive countermeasures based on the analysis results.
5S Standards
Maintain high standards of 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in Raw Material (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) warehouses.
Team Supervision and Training
Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Process Improvement
Develop and implement business process initiatives to optimize departmental operations in line with overall business objectives. Provide clear directions and general guidance to the department in formulating and translating basic policies and procedures into action.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
Implement and maintain compliance with SAP and IATF standards.
Record Integrity
Ensure the integrity and completeness of all manufacturing and logistics records and manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 5 years of experience in PPC within the automobile tier-1 industry.
- Proficient in SAP with a strong understanding of its modules related to production planning and Warehouse management system.
- In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
