The Assistant Manager - UX Researcher will play a crucial role in planning, leading, and executing evaluative research activities to enhance product usability and user experience. The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in UX research methodologies and tools to provide comprehensive insights into user behaviors and needs, collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to align research efforts with business and user goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and execute evaluative research activities, such as card sorting, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations, to rigorously assess product usability and enhance user experience.
- Act as a bridge across teams by synthesizing complex research data into clear, actionable insights.
- Formulate testable hypotheses grounded in user needs and market trends. Utilize research insights to validate, challenge, and drive innovative solutions.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of research methodologies, human factors, the user-centered design process, and statistical analysis to inform and refine product and service design.
- Partner closely with teams across design, analytics, product management, business, customer support, and marketing to formulate and refine research questions that align with organizational objectives.
- Independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and analyze research across various product or program areas.
- Design and administer surveys to capture meaningful user feedback and preferences.
- Conduct secondary research scans, including market and competitive analyses, to contextualize our product offerings within the broader landscape.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the User Research practice within a dedicated, collaborative team.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in applied User Experience (UX) research, utilizing a range of methodologies such as usability studies, contextual inquiry, diary studies, and surveys to deliver actionable insights.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field related to human behavior, psychology, or a research-oriented discipline, complemented by significant academic or industry experience.
- Deep expertise in a variety of UX research methodologies and tools, including experimental design, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and data synthesis, to provide comprehensive insights into user behaviors and needs.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, serving as a strategic partner in product decision-making to align research efforts with business and user goals.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully conducting multiple concurrent studies across various product lines, ensuring efficient and impactful research execution.
- Experienced in applying advanced computational statistics to analyze large and complex datasets, ensuring robust, data-driven research outcomes that inform strategic product decisions.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, enabling streamlined processes and enhanced efficiency in research operations, resulting in timely delivery of high-quality insights and recommendations.
Certification required:
