For our Production Engineering department in Chakan, Pune India, we are looking for the Tool Designer
Your future role
- Simulations like Rolling, RCM and Flow forming for specific project requirements.
- Forming, Flanging, Stringback simulations for process validation.
- Make the project scheduling & align the tasks based on the activities.
- Ensure Resource utilization & keep tracking of project time lines.
- Report the progress of project on regular intervals to the HOD (PE) & consult wherever required.
- 3D models/IGS are generated from tool designs with the help of Catia, Solid works.
- These models are used for CNC Machining. It gives clarity to vendor about complex tools.
- Design, Develop & implement New/Modify Operating Procedures, Work instructions for supporting IATF, EMS & OHSMS systems.
- Develop new standards, methods, systems for effective handling design and CAE data.
- Develop & implement best practices in tool design in co-ordination with tool designers, as a part of continuous improvement
- Co-ordinate with Technical support (Software) engineers to fix software issues, updated versions &solve technical queries of design engineers.
- Identify System, Software, Hardware needs of Designers & arrange for them in Co-ordination with HOD (PE) & IT Department.
- Identify training needs of Designers & arrange the same for them in co-ordination with HOD (PE) & HR.
- Support Design engineers in their project activities like Kizens & improvement projects.
- Generate Purchase Requisition as per requirements
- Support Tool Room officers in their Kizen, NWT, Project Presentations.
- Coordinate for required design support to Tool Room Officers.
- Arrange CFT core team meetings for PFMEA & write MOM of meetings.
- Support for Maintaining & updating the PFMEAs as per MOMs of CFT meetings.
- Support PPAP activity as per Schedule.
- Coordinate for CAPEX, CER & budgeting activities.
- Guide the new joiners about departmental functions & system requirements.
- Knowledge of 3D Modeling Software's is Required (Hands on CATIA V5/ Solid works is Preferred)
- Knowledge of 2D Drafting Software's is Required (Hands on AutoCAD/ Ares Commander is Preferred)
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems like IATF16949, ISO-14001 & OHSMS-45001 is Required (Certified Internal Auditor is Preferred)
- Must have excellent Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
- Knowledge of MS Office Tools like Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is required.
Your profile
- B. E./B. Tech (Mechanical)
- Post Graduation will be added advantage
- Tool Designing Diploma after BE through IGTR/NTTF/CITD will be preferred.
- Minimum 10 to 12 year experience in Tool Design is required.
