FUNCTION: Assistant Manager - Tax & Accounts

LOCATION: Thane, India

JOBTYPE: Permanent

ROLE SENIORITY: Non-managerial

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

Envu is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager - Tax & Accounts to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will support our tax and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while driving efficiency and accuracy in our financial processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls, contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Manage Indirect and Direct Tax Matters for Envu India and support accounting processes (50% GST, 30% Corporate tax, 20% Accounting)

Responsibilities:

Taxation

Indirect Tax

• Automate the GST compliance process for India and lead the creation of necessary reports
• Provide the required inputs to the external consultants for preparation of returns
• Review and file the monthly GST returns as prepared

Direct Tax

Strengthen the TDS/TCS process in India:

• Identify the right TDS/TCS setup for vendors and customers
• Monthly review of invoices recorded and make corrections if any required
• Liaising with external tax consultants for payment of monthly TDS/TCS
• Preparation and submission of quarterly TDS/TCS returns
• Co-ordinate with Tax Auditors for Corporate Income tax
• Take up any additional compliances required in direct and indirect taxation

Accounting

• Ensure that the recorded data by the accounting shared service team is accurate, on time, and comply with the accounting standards
• Automate wherever possible, processes, to ensure minimal intervention of the local team
• Co-ordinate with the external auditors for the annual audit of the company and provide all required information

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE

Qualifications and Experience

Position Requirements:

• CA with 3-5 years of professional experience in managing tax function.
• Articleship training preferably with Big-4
• In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations, including direct and indirect taxes.
• Experience in a manufacturing setup will be an added advantage
• Software skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.)
• Details matter. Require strong attention to details.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
