As an Assistant Manager in Supply Chain Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes
This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Your responsibilities involve ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the supply chain
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Sourcing:Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs
Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage the procurement process
Supplier Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns
Logistics and Distribution:Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and distribution centers
Optimize logistics operations for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for production and customer demands
Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock
Demand Planning:Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand
Develop strategies to meet demand fluctuations and ensure product availability
Process Optimization:Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain
Implement efficiency measures to streamline operations
Risk Management:Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions
