Job Overview

Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

This role is responsible and accountable for leading at least one Supply Chain Business Pillar for the development of business intelligence capabilities. This involves the accountability of building scalable, sustainable solutions and capabilities that drive insights and thus enabling business growth in the respective pillar(s). This involves working closely with NAR Strategy team, International COE and SC Pillar team, segment (PET) and D&T team members to design and implement solutions as per the business needs.

The incumbent will execute and permeate best practices within the team around Google Data Cloud and visualization and capability scaling by bringing strong technical acumen across these technologies.

The incumbent will be accountable for talent management and talent development responsibilities for his/her respective team members

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Responsibilities (30% of time)

  • Provide thought leadership on continuous process improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Provide thought leadership and execute key strategic efforts undertaken by the team as part of the broader vision and goal setting program of the team.
  • Develop, execute key talent development, and acquisition activities in respective team - hiring, IDPs, P&OR, feedback / coaching and talent upskill programs.
  • Lead minimally one Supply Chain area as a SME in the team and work with business leadership towards development of new capabilities there-in.
  • Lead development of business intelligence initiatives across at least one pillar acting as a SME for the respective SC business pillar by developing a detailed solution design / architecture or re-engineer an existing business intelligence capability, via effective partnership with business and development teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions based on business needs and constraints.

Stakeholder Management (20% o f time)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (across Supply Chain and D&T) to identify opportunities & development of business intelligence capabilities within the accountable area(s).
  • Work with cross functional teams to deploy capabilities / solutions in the accountable pillar.
  • Influence, consult and communicate with stakeholders about team, project deliverables, future pipeline, and feedback loop.
  • Function as the Primary liaison between the Cross Functional teams & coordinate triage efforts, resolve client issues and support prioritization discussions with Pillar leads.
  • Translate Business requirements into technical Requirements for the Development team and play key role to develop technical architectures and prototypes for multiple business intelligence initiatives.
  • Organize and lead design reviews, feedback sessions and training sessions with stakeholders to ensure business needs are satisfied and support operational integration of the solutions.

Operational Leadership (30% of time)

  • Directly and indirectly manage project teams and resources to meet organizational priorities to optimize project delivery.
  • Responsible for project management for multiple projects in the area of responsibility
  • Project planning/prioritization, resource planning, managing stakeholder expectations, & presentations to senior management
  • Build ongoing tracking of business goals and communicate progress, risk, and risk mitigation measures to all stakeholders.
  • Taking measures to ensure the projects adhere to the SLAs and quality metrics tracked by the team.
  • Ensure adoption of project management practices in projects delivered individually and by the team.
  • Assist in deployment of best practices and sustainable solution design practices in the Data and Insights area.
  • Identify and execute strategic opportunities for business processes and productivity improvement.

Team Leadership (20% of time)

  • Identifies and removes barriers allowing for optimum performance and results from the team.
  • Execute hiring strategy to ensure seamless support to organization wide stakeholders.
  • Motivate the team to deliver operations excellence, new capabilities by creating a rewarding and collaborative work environment.
  • Empower people to lead from every seat, fostering a culture of collaboration to drive maximum performance and accountability.
  • Ensure efforts towards employee engagement and retention.
  • Focus on development of SMEs in Supply Chain domain.
  • Identify individual training development needs and provide opportunity to improve by leveraging L&D or external platform.

In performing these accountabilities, the incumbent must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Organizations employees at all levels across the company locations. The Job involves travel to worldwide GMI location on short term basis depending on business requirements.

Number of direct reports that are Individual Contributors: 7 to 10

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)
  • 5+ years of work experience with demonstrated project and people leadership skills in Supply Chain
  • Hands on experience in working with Databases like SQL, Oracle, GCP, and Automation (like VBA Macro)
  • Demonstrated skill in developing BI Solutions, Visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, etc.)
  • Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain business processes
  • Strong analytical and Supply Chain business acumen skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 7+ years of work experience with demonstrated project and people leadership skills in Supply Chain
  • Preferred Major Area of Study:Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant.
  • Professional Certifications: Agile Project Management / PMP / SQL / Tableau CSCP/CPIM/CSM / Six Sigma
