About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use): 09
Assistant Manager, Data Operations is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of data professionals to ensure the effective and efficient analysis, interpretation, and utilization of data within the organization. This role involves managing data projects, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts
Ensure delivery of key SLAs
Effectively manage capacity planning to ensure incoming workload is managed within the SLAs
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Plan, execute, and oversee data projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
Domain Skills:
Good understanding of Private Equity / Real Estate / Hedge Funds processes such as Accounting, Investor Reporting, Capital Calls, Distribution, Financial Statements.
Knowledge of private equity/ debt fund structures designs & hierarchies, Special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, master-feeder funds.
General understanding of Capital Markets, Hedge Funds.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in data collection, data management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong proficiency in data collection tools and software.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness to work in global shifts
