Job description:-
We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Purchase to join at our client place based at Gurgaon, Haryana. Ideal will be responsible for supporting business operations by ordering products or materials that agree with their brand. Their duties include maintaining relationships with Suppliers, Vendors or Wholesalers, placing orders for products based on current inventory needs and tracking shipments from manufacturing locations.
Roles and Responsibilities :-
- Manage procurement activities for packaging materials, consumables, and raw materials.
- Develop strategies to reduce costs through effective purchasing practices.
- Able to formulate and manage long term & short term Supply Chain Strategy Implement procurement strategy and policies.
- Supplier Selection & Evaluation Skills, Contract Negotiations Skills, Project management & Problem-solving skills.
- Costing & Negotiations with the suppliers to finalize techno-commercial terms and conditions.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
- Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment's in a timely and cost effective way; timely manner while maintain
- Should be able to communicate effectively with Operations, Finance and Other Key Functional Departments.
- Identify cost savings opportunities/projects and implementation of cost reduction ideas.
- Negotiate prices with vendors to secure best deals.
- Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and support the sourcing process by pro-actively identifying and assessing potential / series suppliers (Global / Domestic).
- Preparation of Purchase Orders in SAP.
- Raising of Price revision request as & when required.
- Vendor Management.
- Ensure On-time material deliveries by close coordination between Production Control & Vendors.
Job Requirements :-
- Strong knowledge of packaging material, raw material, and consumable products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within FMCG or Personal care or hygiene industries.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
