Process Manager is responsible for the continued development and implementation of the process developments for the Company.
Primary purpose of role is to focus on execution and deliver process improvement projects in compliance to GMP and Abbott EHS & quality standards.
Major Responsibilities
Overall responsibilities for all activities pertaining to tipping, wet process and dryer.
Coordinate with the R&D for product development, including design, planning and formulations.
Study the product formulations from processing feasibility and ensure smooth execution of any new product.
Assist in the preparation of feasibility level capital and operating costs for process improvement projects.
Liaise with contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on a technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner.
Promote and foster good human relations within the department and plant-wide and work to ensure that employees embrace the Abbott Values.
To provide innovative ideas of improving efficiency, yield targets and quality of overall processing function.
Drive the overall CAPA for the process department for any issues with process, product or equipment.
Lead and manage specific projects as required.
To ensure product produced is safety compliant and is meeting Abbott quality standards and protocols.
To analyze Root Cause and executing CAPA for all failures in respective area and arrange for necessary modifications / up gradations.
Provide leadership to Process Manufacturing Department with respect to best practice initiatives such as Class A, CAPA, HACCP and ISO systems.
Partner with R&D and related function for timely and successful launch of New Products.
Partner quality function in GMP and Quality issues and in provindg support in quality audits.
Lead the improvement projects assigned and ensure OTIF in completion.
Education
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or Dairy Technology with minimum 8 to 10 yrs experience. Experience in project engineering is desirable
Good understanding of production and/or material operations.
Knowledge in lean manufacturing or six-sigma methodologies.
