We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Asst Manager Planning to join our construction project management team. The individual will be responsible for the project lifecycle from inception to handover, facilitating smooth communication and coordination among all project stakeholders. This role is crucial to ensure the efficient progress of construction projects and adherence to budgets and timelines.
Work closely with the project managers to create comprehensive action plans including resources, timeframes and budgets for the projects- Create a logical sequence out of Work Breakdown structure and establish critical paths for the projects
Revise and rectify action plans including resources, timeframes and budgets for the projects, wherever and whenever necessary by highlighting anticipated delays/deviancies in advance
- Prepare the construction schedule & identify the best series of events in the correct order for the project to finish on time and on budget
Stakeholder Coordination:- Act as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, architects, contractors and suppliers from all office and site locations
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members
- Documentation Management:
Manage project-related documentation inclusive of drawings up to finishing of the project(s) and contracts. Ensure compliance with all processes and company defined guidelines.- Organise and maintain records for easy retrieval and reference.
Scheduling Support and Process improvement:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
Monitor project timelines and alert project managers of any delays or potential issues- Organise meetings and follow-up to monitor and collect updates on project timelines, requirements, budgets, etc.
Work alongside the procurement team to ensure items are being procured, delivered and managed on site.
- Identify process gaps and recommend ideas to streamline efficiency, costs and productivity
Reporting:- Prepare regular reports on project status, including financial updates, progress against schedules, and any deviations from project plans.
Present reports to project managers, stakeholders and senior management as needed
* Assist in identifying potential risks and issues that may affect project success.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
