Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager MEP to join our team. The Assistant Manager MEP will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems & Entire Engineering department activities within the resort. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise MEP maintenance activities across the resort, including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and functionality of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any MEP-related issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and expenditures.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities in the resort.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate ratio of HLP in the daily operations.
- Excellent leadership quality and multitasking abilities.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in MEP maintenance management, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and building codes.
- Past experience in the leadership role will be an asset.
- Experience of the hotels / Hospitality industry is must and experience of working in the resort property will be added asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and employee development.
- Certification in relevant MEP disciplines (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems) is a plus.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
