We are seeking a creative and results-driven Manager of Social Media & Communications to lead our Institutions online presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies, managing content creation, and ensuring consistent communication across all platforms to enhance the university's brand, engage with current and prospective students, and support institutional goals.
Principal Role and Responsibilities:
This person is responsible for conceptualising, developing, and managing content cross-platform campaigns (digital,social, events and PR) to drive awareness, digital visitors, registrations, applications and enrollments for the Programs Offered through a mix of organic & paid campaigns.
Social Media Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the institution's branding and marketing objectives.
Identify target audiences and tailor content to maximize engagement and reach.
Monitor trends, tools, applications, and social media platforms to stay updated with the latest in digital marketing.
Content Creation & Management:
Oversee the creation, curation, and scheduling of engaging content for various social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as admissions, alumni relations, and academic departments, to gather content and promote university events and achievements.
Ensure content is consistent with the university's voice, style, and brand guidelines.
Community Engagement:
Foster and grow an active online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Engage with current and prospective students, alumni, faculty, and staff to build relationships and promote a positive image of the university.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze social media performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
Prepare regular reports to share insights on the effectiveness of social media campaigns and recommend improvements.
Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize content and strategy.
Brand Management:
Ensure all social media activities and communications are aligned with the university's brand values and strategic goals.
Manage social media crises with sensitivity and strategic communication to protect the university's reputation.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other departments to promote events, news, and initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with media outlets and influencers to enhance the university's reach and credibility.
Eligibility:
Master's degree and/or Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field from a top-tier institution
2-4 years of functionality with digital or social media marketing agencies in a content creation, visualizer role or in a similar role within Edtech/ education/ b2C digital businesses.
Demonstrated ability in building & executing growth-driven cross-platform campaigns
Skill Sets:
Hands-on technical experience in planning & executing cross-platform campaigns
Deep expertise in digital, social and email campaign development, execution and performance
management.
SEO/SCM expertise desired
Superior English language skills
Exceptional creativity and design skills
Excellent Excel Skills & Data Analysis Skills
Interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and work effectively across different internal & external stakeholders.
